Leathercraft: Dyeing & Finishing 101

February 20, 2019 @ 5:30 pm 7:30 pm

Learn the various dyeing and staining methods used in the leathercrafting community—as well as other finishing techniques such as edge burnishing and edge sealing.

We’ll also review the different kinds of leather available on the market and how dyes and stains affect each differently. This class can get a bit messy so come in clothes you don’t mind getting a little…colorful.

Each student will have hands-on experience dyeing and sealing leather as well as practicing their edge burnishing and coating skills on a leather key chain.

Materials will be provided by the instructor.

Age: 14+
Cost: $50 for non-member; $25 for members
