USS Razorback 75th Birthday Celebration

Celebrate the 75th birthday of USS Razorback submarine, located at the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum. Razorback is the longest-serving submarine in the world with service during World War II, the Cold War and the Vietnam War. After being decommissioned in 1970, she served in the Turkish Navy before being transferred to the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum permanently in 2004. The submarine is 90-percent operational and open for tours. This event is free and open to the public. Keynote speaker is Retired Vice Admiral Kenneth Floyd. We will also be hearing from Stan Davis, whose grandfather was the shipyard manager where she was built. In addition to Mr.Davis, Charlie Duveen will tell the story of his father being rescued by the USS Razorback in World War II.
