On the heels of releasing their self-titled debut in 2017, Little Rock, Arkansas’ Recognizer began immediately demoing new songs for a follow-up record. The addition of a makeshift home studio allowed Mike Mullins (guitar/vocals), Michael Mullens (bass), and Steve Cook (drums) to build each song idea in a collective, trial-and-error fashion. While there was no intentional central theme, the songs tended to be tied together by an overarching goal of transcendental psychedelia.
