Learn to think creatively with minimal tools and just a few simple hand-building pottery techniques to create one of the most amazing and complex ceramic forms: the teapot! Learn from a fellow tea lover how you, too, can make beautiful and functional teapots, starting with just a couple of pinch pot bowls.
In this hands-on class, you will learn:
How to use pinch pots to form the body
How to create a lid with a gallery for a secure fit
Form spouts from a rolled slab of clay
How to design slab templates to customize a spout for each teapot you make.
Pull and attach handles in proportion to the spout, creating visual balance and a comfortable pour.
