Learn to can homemade dill pickles! The following dates are available:
> Sunday June 25th from 2:00-3:30pm
> Sunday July 30th from 2:00-3:3pm
In Each Class We Will:
- Harvest produce and learn tips to grow your own
- Prepare a recipe together
- Learn to can using the water-bath canning method
- Sample a pre-made jar of what we are making
- Discuss the benefits of growing and preserving your own food
Each Participant Will Receive:
- Your own jar to take home
- The recipe we use + an extra to try yourself
- A list of resources and tips
Each class will be held in the Dining Hall inside St. Joseph’s. We recommend close-toed shoes when harvesting outside. All materials for the class are provided. Please check in at the Farm Stand when you arrive.
