Trail of Tears

Seven interpretative panels commemorate the Cherokee Trail of Tears and similar forced migrations by the other Four Civilized Tribes. This is located in the immedate vicinity of a large number of north-south migration routes and east-west water migration routes for the Cherokee and other southeastern tribes during the 1830s and 1840s. Free and open to the public, located on the Arkansas River Trail.
