All American Fish Fry with Flyway Brewing (July 3)
Kick off your 4th of July holiday weekend in NLR with a good ol’ fish fry! Flyway Brewing and Eat My Catfish are teaming up to bring you cold beer, outdoor games, catfish and more, starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3.

Pops on the River Watch Party at USS Razorback Submarine (July 4)
The annual fireworks show, part of Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s Pops on the River, will begin at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 over the Arkansas River. What more appropriate place to watch the patriotic display than aboard the USS Razorback submarine, which served during World War II, the Cold War and the Vietnam War? The watch party at the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum is $10 per person and food and drinks will be available for purchase. Children five and under are free. To purchase tickets, call (501)371-8320.
Arkansas Travelers vs. Cardinals (July 4 – July 7)
Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, aren’t going to be your typical night at the ballgame: both nights at Dickey-Stephens Park will feature post-game firework shows! On Thursday night the Arkansas Travelers will also be wearing USA-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off during the game. The Travelers also play the Cardinals at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7. Every Sunday is Operation Military Appreciation at the ballpark, meaning $3 discount with a military ID.

Cruise Night at David’s Burgers (July 5)
Bring your family to one of the state’s largest cruise nights Friday, July 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at David’s Burgers in North Little Rock. Hundreds of vehicles participate, great family fun and amazing food!
Busch Softball Classic (July 5 – July 7)
Celebrating its 40th year, the Busch Softball Classic is the only tournament in the nation with USSSA World Series berths for men and women. More than 100 men’s and women’s teams will compete in five different divisions. An official conference USSSA event, the tournament spans sports complexes in North Little Rock, Jacksonville and Sherwood.

Hognado (July 5 & July 6)
See how Arkansans adapt and survive when a giant tornado swoops up the last remaining wild hogs in the Ozarks and hurls them at Little Rock at 180 miles per hour. The Main Thing comedy troupe’s summer blockbuster, Hognado, promises to keep audiences laughing at The Joint Theater & Coffeehouse.
Roll It! Frozen Cream Grand Opening (July 6)
Come out to McCain Mall for the grand opening of the first location of Roll It! Frozen Cream, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. They will be selling more than 21 flavors of hand-rolled ice cream, frappes, slushies and mucnhy cups. Non-dairy options are available.

Peach Fest (July 6)
Faulkner Lake Orchard describes their annual family-friendly event as simpy “everything peach.” Peach Fest is scheduled for Saturday, July 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year the event had hot dogs, peach tea, peach ice cream and peach cobbler, with fun and games.
