The North Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (North Little Rock CVB) will host the next installment of its Argenta Plaza Summer Music Series, featuring The Rodney Block Collective and SYNRG, on Saturday, July 17, at 5 p.m. at Argenta Plaza at 510 Main St. in North Little Rock.
“Many Arkansans are familiar with and love The Rodney Block Collective’s high-energy performances,” said Erica Warden, North Little Rock CVB Director of Sales and Events. “The band’s talent and range of musical genres they play is enjoyed by all ages, and we can’t wait to welcome them for their first – hopefully of many more – performance at Argenta Plaza.”
The Rodney Block Collective, a quartet that plays jazz, hip-hop, country and a mix of other genres, consists of Rodney Block as lead trumpist, Andre Franklin as keyboardist, Joel Crutcher as bass guitarist and Jonathan Burks as drummer.
The series event is free and open to the public thanks to sponsors including the North Little Rock CVB, the City of North Little Rock, First Orion Corp, Russell Chevrolet, North Little Rock Fit2Live, Custom XM, Argenta Downtown Council, Taggart Architects and AT&T Arkansas. Attendees may bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, but are encouraged to patron the downtown restaurants for food and drinks.
The July 17 concert coincides with Argenta Dogtown Throwdown, during which Main Street will be closed for outdoor dining. Restaurants will be set up outside serving food and drinks. Patrons will be able to walk around with their drinks within the Argenta Outdoor Dining District boundaries, including Argenta Plaza. Concert attendees are encouraged to dine in downtown restaurants before and after the performance. For more information about dining and things to do in Argenta, visit www.ArgentaArtsDistrict.org.
