The North Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (North Little Rock CVB) hosted the Argenta Plaza Summer Music Series featuring The Gravel Yard and Ten Penny Gypsy on Saturday, August 21, at Argenta Plaza at 510 Main Street in North Little Rock.
The Gravel Yard headlined the August 21 concert, bringing an electric style to the bluegrass world with lively originals and a twist on classics. Hailing from Mountain Home, Arkansas, the band includes Matt Clampit on guitar, Chris Denny on lead vocals and guitar, Aaron Farris on upright bass, Cliff Prowse on fiddle, Titus Turner on mandolin and Tiffany Turner on banjo.
The opening act, Ten Penny Gypsy, is an Arkansas folk/americana duo which has received several nominations in the Arkansas Country Music Awards. The group consists of singer/songwriters Justin Patterson and Laura Lynn Daley.
The event was free and open to the public thanks to the North Little Rock CVB, the City of North Little Rock, First Orion Corp, Russell Chevrolet, North Little Rock Fit2Live, Custom XM, Argenta Downtown Council, Taggart Architects, Ristorante Capeo and AT&T Arkansas. The concert coincided with Argenta Dogtown Throwdown, during which Main Street is closed for outdoor dining and live music.
