Born on the Southeast Texas Coast, Clancy Jones was steeped in a family heritage rich in songwriting and music-making. His roots can be tied generations back to a third cousin by the name of Moon Mullican, the King of the Hillbilly Piano Players. With a family dynamic that to some might have been considered unconventional, Clancy’s upbringing helped him to grow up fast and strong. Beginning in his formative years, he’s always had the mindset of ‘go and be whoever you damn well please.’ This energy shines through in his contemporary songwriting.
Charlie J Memphis; a Midwest Songwriter and an ex-punk turned country creates a unique sound within country music. With absolute soul and emotion Charlie sings songs for the stressed and the depressed of the Midwest. Songs that expose the underbelly of life in all its bitter tender moments. Wether it be of drinking, lost love or of potential fate he’s covered it all in his new record: “Ten Thousand Tears”. A nine song album filled with some of his most personal work from experiences years past! Expect “Ten Thousand Tears” to release in Late Spiring/Early Summer of 2023.
