October may look a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy fall fun. North Little Rock attractions are getting creative with some fun and spooky things to do.

October: Pumpkin Contest at American Pie Pizza

Every October, American Pie Pizza (Maumelle and North Hills locations) have a special tradition – guess the weight of a very large pumpkin! This year, you can join in the fun virtually. Visit their Facebook page to comment your guess for the chance tow in a dinner for 4 or a $60 gift card.


Nov. 4: Boos & Brews

Boos & Brews, presented by Haunted Argenta, is the 21 and up version of the Haunted Argenta Walking Ghost Tours, with stops at local bars, more “lusty and lascivious” stories and even a seance. These Wednesday evening tours have limited spots and will sell out quickly, so reserve your spot in advance.


 

Oct. 29 – Nov. 7: Haunted Argenta Walking Ghost Tours

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings beginning October 15, stroll through Argenta on a Haunted Argenta Walking Ghost Tour! This 1.5-hour tour begins at the gazebo in Faucette Park and tells the stories of Argenta history. Advance reservation is highly recommended, as spots are limited and sell quickly.

 


 

Oct. 29 – Oct. 31: Requiem: In Remembrance of the Dead

Requiem: In Remembrance of the Dead is a Halloween show produced by Paul Prater of Haunted Argenta that will be hosted in The Elks Lodge at 123 E. Broadway St.. The storytelling show is an “interactive night of spirit theater, magic and mentalism.” Seats are very limited.

 


 

Fridays October – December: The Main Thing Still Live!

You’ll be socially distanced and so will they when The Main Thing returns to The Joint Theater & Coffeehouse stage with this hilarious comedy revue, STILL LIVE! Opens October 23 and will run indefinitely with performances every Friday at 8 p.m. All seating in the socially-distanced theater is reserved and admission is $30.

 


 

Oct. 29 – Oct. 31: Funland Halloween Carnival

North Little Rock Parks & Recreation is hosting a family-friendly Halloween Carnival at Funland Amusement Park the weekend before and and the weekend of Halloween! Each night, the gates will open at 6 p.m. and entry is $5 per person ages two and older (parents are free). They will have a nightly costume contest, Zombie Boogie, Eerie Express, Boogieman Maze and more. Masks are required for anyone over 10 years of age and groups must stay socially distant by 6 feet or more.

 


 

Oct. 28 – Oct. 31: Halloween Candy Beer Pairing at Flyway Brewing

Join Flyway Brewing for good, old-fashioned fun (adult-style) and safely social distant. Flyway will pour flights of their Bluewing Berry Wheat Ale, Thrasher Black Lager, Honeybird Blonde Ale and Shadowhands Stout to pair with Twix, Snickers, Kit Kats and Almond Joys. 

 


 

Oct. 28: Trick R’ Treat at the North Little Rock Drive-In

Nope, this is NOT a kid-friendly trick-or-treating event. Trick ‘r Treat is a horror film with five interwoven stories that occur on Halloween. Gates at the North Little Rock Drive-In open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Oct. 31: War of the Worlds: The 1938 Radio Script

Tune in on for Argenta Community Theater‘s production of the 1938 radio play, WAR OF THE WORLDS, made infamous by Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre. Argenta’s production brings the terror of the original broadcast to life, while creating a radio play experience that is perfect for 2020. Pay what you can for this performance. All donations benefit the ongoing work of Argenta Community Theater amidst the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis.

Oct. 31: The Rocky Horror Pickin’ Show feat. The Crumbs

The Crumbs will be performing the soundtrack for the Rocky Horror Picture Show but with a bluegrass twist!! Special VIP Tents seating up to 8 people, located close to the stage, and properly distanced will be available for purchase for $100. All patrons will need to follow masking and social distancing guidelines established by the AODD. A costume contest will take place at 8pm with tons of prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Oct. 31: St. Joseph Halloween Farm Stand

The St. Joseph Center of Arkansas at 6800 Camp Robinson Road invites you to visit the Farm Stand Oct. 31, 8 a.m. – noon. Come take photos with the animals, have a hot dog, enjoy a hayride and take a tour of the historical building. Plenty of fun for the kids while parents shop for goodies at the farm stand!

Food Truck Fridays at Simmons Bank Arena

Simmons Bank Arena is hosting Food Truck Fridays in its VIP parking lot from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy different food trucks in a safe and socially-distanced event. The VIP lot is located on the south side of the building beside I-30.

 


 

Saturdays: Fall at the St. Joseph Farm Stand

Pick up your fall decorations and support local farmers at the St. Joseph Farm Stand at 6800 Camp Robinson Road! St. Joseph Farm Stand is stocked up with everything you’ll need for decorating your porch or patio with giant mums, hay bales, pumpkins, and more. Order for pickup on Fridays 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. or stop by Saturdays between 8 a.m. and noon. The farm stand is also a great outdoor space for fall photo opps.
