How to spend an amazing Father’s Day weekend in North Little Rock

Friday

Actors in the Joint Theater in the Argenta Arts District
Catch Keep Your Chins Up (June 14-15), a show on the trials of getting older at the comedy theater, The Joint.

Laman Library Main Branch is currently hosting the NASA Hubble Space Telescope Exhibit, a fascinating journey through the development of space technology that will excite fathers and kids alike. Walk through the Argenta Arts District and try local favorites, such as Ristorante Capeo or The Joint. Take in the city sights and river on the now free Rock Region METRO streetcars.

Saturday

St. Joseph Farm Stand in North Little Rock
Check out the produce at St. Joseph Farm Stand Saturday mornings 8 AM to 12 PM

Start your morning off right with homegrown produce at one of the local farmers markets or pick your own peaches at Faulkner Lake Orchard. Enjoy a picnic at one of the pavilions at Burns Park near disc golf courses, Funland Amusement Park (June 15-16), and several playgrounds. Multi-generational families can enjoy the all-inclusive One Heart Playground.

Arkansas Travelers at Dickey-Stephens Park

Later, catch a baseball game at Dickey-Stephens where the Arkansas Travelers will be competing against the Midland RockHounds all weekend. If it’s raining, go see the new Shaft movie centered on a father-son duo, or the more family-friendly Secret Life of Pets 2 at the Regal Cinemas at McCain Mall.

Sunday

Father's Day Festival: MacArthur Park June 16th

Stop by the 1st Annual Father’s Fest to enjoy a couple of beers from North Little Rock’s very own breweries, Flyway Brewery and Diamond Bear Brewery. Go to Wild River Country where, with the purchase of one admission ticket, Dad can also get in for free! If the rain keeps you in, rent a few lanes at the Millennium Bowl or try your luck at one of North Little Rock’s escape rooms, Ozark Escape (Dads play free all week through Sunday!) and Central Arkansas Escape Rooms.
