“The North Little Rock Welcome Center is the first of its kind in the city’s history: in addition to assisting visitors with information, we are selling North-Little-Rock-branded items and local products,” said Bob Major, President & CEO of the North Little Rock CVB. “After 45 years of being located in Burns Park, we are now be in a better location, closer to all of the dining and attractions in North Little Rock.”

The Welcome Center, accessed by the Main Street entrance, will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. To curb the spread of COVID-19, the North Little Rock CVB requires all visitors to wear masks, use hand sanitizer, sign-in on a contact tracing sheet, and practice social distancing. CVB staff will sanitize the space daily.

“We chose things to sell with our local community in mind,” said Shannon Harris, Guest Services Manager. “Though we do serve out-of-town visitors, we also knew our neighbors, friends and businesses needed a place where they could find locally-made items for gifts or for showing NLR pride.”

In honor of North Little Rock’s nickname “Dogtown,” keychains by local vendor Bang-Up Betty help locals show they are Dogtown Proud.

North Little Rock CVB’s move from the Visitors Information Center in Burns Park to downtown is the latest in a series of updates from North Little Rock CVB in its efforts to attract and engage visitors. Following on the heels of a year-long market research project, the CVB launched a new, mobile-friendly site with comprehensive events calendar and engaging content in early 2019. Six months later, the North Little Rock CVB launched a free trip planning widget and app to better assist visitors looking for information online. Then in January of 2020, North Little Rock CVB unveiled a new brand mark – the NLR “Happy Face” – with the tagline “Up to Something” after a six-month rebranding process.
