Northern Lights celebration returns to North Little Rock Nov. 20

North Little Rock’s Northern Lights annual holiday celebration will return to Argenta Plaza (510 Main Street) on Saturday, November 20, 2021, 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

“We’ve carefully planned this year’s Northern Lights with COVID in mind so that everyone will feel safe and can enjoy the holiday festivities,” said Erica Warden, North Little Rock CVB Director of Sales & Events. “The kids activities will be spread over four hours to give families more time to enjoy without the crowd and we are encouraging everyone to social distance when possible. We encourage masks but it will not be required.”

Northern Lights will have food trucks and a holiday market for holiday shoppers. Live entertainment will include the musical duo Caleb and Abi, Lagniappe and carolers from Argenta Community Theater’s A Christmas Carol. From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., “Santa’s Workshop” will have free kids’ holiday activities. Families will be able to take photos with Santa and the 38-foot Christmas tree.

This year’s Santa will be portrayed by Chris Kennedy, owner of Black Santa ARK LLC and North Little Rock local. Kennedy is a data analyst at First Orion Headquarters in North Little Rock by day, food blogger for Rock City Eats and the man behind @the_bearded_foodie_lr on Instagram by night.

Before, during and after the celebration, attendees can enjoy dining and more entertainment just down the street from Argenta Plaza in the Argenta Arts District. The new Argenta Outdoor Dining District allows restaurant and bar patrons to carry and consume alcohol within the district boundaries, which includes Argenta Plaza.
