The North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announced today that its North Little Rock Welcome Center at 600 Main Street, Suite 120, will be hosting a Small Business Saturday event on Saturday, November 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“To keep our customers safe, we will have our regular sanitation protocols – masks required, hand sanitizer upon entry and contact-tracing – for in-store shoppers and will also have a virtual component on our Facebook page for those more comfortable shopping online,” said Stephanie Slagle, Marketing Director. “Besides bringing awareness to our store, which heavily focuses on North Little Rock and Arkansas-made products, we want to use this opportunity to highlight some of our North Little Rock tourism partners, most of which are also small, local businesses hit hard by the pandemic.”
The North Little Rock Welcome Center will have giveaways from local restaurants and hotel partners. Discounts will be available all day on North Little Rock and Arkansas products from local vendors such as Bang-Up Betty, Ozark Nuts, Aromatique, Fischer’s Honey, Robbi’s Salsa, Wicked Mix and Rock City Outfitters. Customers can shop in-store 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Small Business Saturday or virtually on the North Little Rock CVB Facebook page.
Officially opened in June of 2020, the North Little Rock Welcome Center is the first of its kind in the City of North Little Rock by including a retail component. The store focuses on North Little Rock and Arkansas-branded or made products, from apparel to home goods, souvenirs to locally made jewelry. The North Little Rock CVB operated a visitors’ center in Burns Park for several decades before moving to the new 600 Main building in downtown North Little Rock in March 2020. The coronavirus pandemic delayed a grand opening for the welcome center and 600 Main, which also houses the CVB offices, the Arkansas Automobile Dealers Association and Taggart Architects.
