Work begins on new North Little Rock visitors center

Though the ground had already been “broken” a few weeks earlier, the North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) team was excited to get together with the City of North Little Rock and its two future neighbors, Taggart Architects and the Arkansas Automobile Dealers Association, to celebrate the progress on the new 600 Main building.

The new building will house the North Little Rock CVB’s offices, as well as a visitors center and retail store on the first floor. The second floor will be the Arkansas Automobile Dealers Association, and the third floor will be Taggart Architects. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2020.

600 Main

The North Little Rock CVB advertises, promotes and sells North Little Rock, Arkansas, as a destination for visitors. Though the current visitors center in Burns Park does receive traffic from I-40, the new location will offer closer proximity to the city’s center of activity and will have more efficient space for the CVB team. The CVB is excited to be relocating downtown to the Argenta Arts District, but will continue to promote the whole city.

The visitors center will continue to have brochures and friendly staff to assist visitors, but it will also for the first time have a retail operation as well, with local products for sale.
