Established in June 2020, the Argenta Outdoor Dining District is technically every day, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It allows restaurants to serve customers outside and extend their seating to the sidewalk to serve more customers. Patrons are permitted to carry libations within the district boundaries, stroll Main Street and enjoy the natural and architectural beauty of North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District.
Every third weekend in Argenta, dubbed “Argenta Dogtown Throwdown,” takes the outdoor dining up a notch. The City temporarily closes Main Street from Broadway to 5th Street, Argenta restaurants set up tables and tents on the street, and musicians play for the outdoor restaurant patrons. More seating is available at Argenta Plaza, also within the outdoor dining district. The event is organized by the Argenta Downtown Council and Argenta business owners.
Third Weekend in Argenta begins Friday evenings, goes all day Saturdays and Sunday afternoons, and usually includes live music, entertainment and restaurant specials. Saturday mornings, Argenta Farmers Market will be set up at Argenta Plaza as well. Follow the Argenta Arts District on Facebook for event details each month.
